It was narrated from Zaid bin Aslam that 'Abdul-Malik bin Marwan sent some domestic goods for adornment to Umm Ad-Darda'. One night, 'Abdul-Malik got up in the night and called his servant, and it is as if he was slow in responding, so he cursed him. Umm Ad-Darda' said to him the following morning: I heard you last night cursing your servant when you called him. She said: I heard Abu Ad-Darda' say: The Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) said: "Those who curse will not be intercessors or witnesses on the Day of Resurrection."
