Sahih Muslim Book - 48, Hadith - 6850

حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَزْهَرَ الْوَاسِطِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مَالِكٍ الأَشْجَعِيُّ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ: كَانَ الرَّجُلُ إِذَا أَسْلَمَ ، عَلَّمَهُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الصَّلاَةَ ، ثُمَّ أَمَرَهُ أَنْ يَدْعُوَ بِهَؤُلاَءِ الْكَلِمَاتِ : اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِي ، وَارْحَمْنِي ، وَاهْدِنِي ، وَعَافِنِي وَارْزُقْنِي.

Abu Malik Al-Ashja'i narrated that his father said: "If a man became Muslim, the Prophet (s.a.w) would teach him the prayer, then he would tell him to say these words: 'Allahum-maghfirli warhamni wahdini, wa afini, warzuqni (O Allah, forgive me, have mercy on me, guide me, keep me safe and sound, and grant me provision).'"
