Abu Malik narrated that his father heard the Prophet (s.a.w) say, when a man came to him and said: "O Messenger of Allah (s.a.w), what should I say when I ask of my Lord?" He (s.a.w) said: "Say: 'Allahummaghfirli, warhamni wahdini, wa afini, warzuqni (O Allah, forgive me, have mercy on me, keep me safe and sound, and grant me provision),"' and he held his fingers together except the thumb and said: "These words sum up (good) for you in this world and in the Hereafter."
