Sahih Muslim Book - 48, Hadith - 6951

حَدَّثَنِى مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَهْلٍ التَّمِيمِىُّ وَعَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ بَهْرَامَ وَأَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ قَالَ ابْنُ سَهْلٍ حَدَّثَنَا وَقَالَ الآخَرَانِ أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْيَمَانِ أَخْبَرَنَا شُعَيْبٌ عَنِ الزُّهْرِىِّ أَخْبَرَنِى سَالِمُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- يَقُولُ « انْطَلَقَ ثَلاَثَةُ رَهْطٍ مِمَّنْ كَانَ قَبْلَكُمْ حَتَّى آوَاهُمُ الْمَبِيتُ إِلَى غَارٍ ». وَاقْتَصَّ الْحَدِيثَ بِمَعْنَى حَدِيثِ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ غَيْرَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ قَالَ رَجُلٌ مِنْهُمُ « اللَّهُمَّ كَانَ لِى أَبَوَانِ شَيْخَانِ كَبِيرَانِ فَكُنْتُ لاَ أَغْبُقُ قَبْلَهُمَا أَهْلاً وَلاَ مَالاً ». وَقَالَ « فَامْتَنَعَتْ مِنِّى حَتَّى أَلَمَّتْ بِهَا سَنَةٌ مِنَ السِّنِينَ فَجَاءَتْنِى فَأَعْطَيْتُهَا عِشْرِينَ وَمِائَةَ دِينَارٍ ». وَقَالَ « فَثَمَّرْتُ أَجْرَهُ حَتَّى كَثُرَتْ مِنْهُ الأَمْوَالُ فَارْتَعَجَتْ ». وَقَالَ « فَخَرَجُوا مِنَ الْغَارِ يَمْشُونَ ».

'Abdullah bin 'Umar said: "I heard the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) say: 'Three people of those who came before you went out, and they spent the night in a cave"'... and he quoted a Hadith like that of Nafi' from Ibn 'Umar (no. 6950), except that he said: "One of them said: 'O Allah, I had elderly parents and I did not offer milk to anyone else in the evening before them."' And he said: "She refused to let me have my way with her until she was hard pressed because of famine, then she came to me and I gave her one hundred and twenty Dinar." And he said: "He invested his wages until they generated a great deal of wealth." And he said: "And they came walking out of the cave."
