Sahih Muslim Book - 50, Hadith - 7115
حَدَّثَنِى زُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ عَنْ سُهَيْلٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِى هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- « لَيْسَ أَحَدٌ يُنْجِيهِ عَمَلُهُ». قَالُوا وَلاَ أَنْتَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ « وَلاَ أَنَا إِلاَّ أَنْ يَتَدَارَكَنِىَ اللَّهُ مِنْهُ بِرَحْمَةٍ ».
It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said: "The Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) said: 'No one will be saved by virtue of his deeds.' They said: 'Not even you, O Messenger of Allah?' He said: 'Not even me, unless Allah saves me with mercy."'
