حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ - يَعْنِى ابْنَ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ - عَنْ سُهَيْلٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِى هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- قَالَ « مِنْ أَشَدِّ أُمَّتِى لِى حُبًّا نَاسٌ يَكُونُونَ بَعْدِى يَوَدُّ أَحَدُهُمْ لَوْ رَآنِى بِأَهْلِهِ وَمَالِهِ ».
It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) said: "Among the most beloved of my Ummah to me are people who will come after me, one of whom would wish to have seen me, even if that was at the expense of his family and his wealth."
