Sahih Muslim Book - 51, Hadith - 7169

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِى شَيْبَةَ حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ حَدَّثَنَا شَيْبَانُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ قَالَ قَالَ قَتَادَةُ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا نَضْرَةَ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ سَمُرَةَ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ نَبِىَّ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- يَقُولُ « إِنَّ مِنْهُمْ مَنْ تَأْخُذُهُ النَّارُ إِلَى كَعْبَيْهِ وَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ تَأْخُذُهُ إِلَى حُجْزَتِهِ وَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ تَأْخُذُهُ إِلَى عُنُقِهِ ».

It was narrated from Samurah that he heard the Prophet of Allah (s.a.w) say: "There are some whom the Fire will seize up to the ankles, and some whom it will seize up to the waist, and some whom it will seize up to the neck.''
