وَحَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ حَدَّثَنَا الْفَزَارِىُّ - يَعْنِى مَرْوَانَ بْنَ مُعَاوِيَةَ - عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ حَكِيمٍ الأَنْصَارِىِّ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِى سَعِيدُ بْنُ يَسَارٍ أَنَّ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- كَانَ يَقْرَأُ فِى رَكْعَتَىِ الْفَجْرِ فِى الأُولَى مِنْهُمَا (قُولُوا آمَنَّا بِاللَّهِ وَمَا أُنْزِلَ إِلَيْنَا) الآيَةَ الَّتِى فِى الْبَقَرَةِ وَفِى الآخِرَةِ مِنْهُمَا (آمَنَّا بِاللَّهِ وَاشْهَدْ بِأَنَّا مُسْلِمُونَ)
It was narrated that Ibn 'Abbas said: "The Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) used to recite in the two Rak'ah of Fajr - in the first Rak'ah: Say: "We believe in Allah and that which has been sent down to us...", the verse which is in Al-Baqarah. And in the second:... We believe in Allah, and bear witness that we are Muslims".
