حَدَّثَنِى هَنَّادُ بْنُ السَّرِىِّ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الأَحْوَصِ عَنْ أَشْعَثَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ عَائِشَةَ عَنْ عَمَلِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- فَقَالَتْ كَانَ يُحِبُّ الدَّائِمَ. قَالَ قُلْتُ أَىَّ حِينٍ كَانَ يُصَلِّى فَقَالَتْ كَانَ إِذَا سَمِعَ الصَّارِخَ قَامَ فَصَلَّى.
It was narrated that Masruq said: "I asked 'Aishah about the actions of the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w). She said: 'He loved that which was done consistently.' I said: 'When did he pray?' She said: 'When the rooster crowed, he would get up and pray.'"
