It was narrated that Jabir bin 'Abdullah said: While the Prophet (s.a.w) was standing on a Friday, a caravan arrived in Al-Madinah and the Companions of the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) rushed towards it, until there was no one left with him except twelve men, among whom were Abu Bakr and 'Umar. Then this verse was revealed: "And when they see some merchandise or some amusement they disperse headlong to it, and leave you standing."
