Surah 16. An-Nahl, Ayah 20
وَٱلَّذِينَ يَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ لَا يَخْلُقُونَ شَيْـًٔا وَهُمْ يُخْلَقُونَ Qur’an An-Nahl (16:20)Wa a lla th eena yadAAoona min dooni All a hi l a yakhluqoona shayan wahum yukhlaqoon a
Now those beings that some people invoke13 beside God cannot create anything, since they themselves are but created:
- Mohammad Asad
Mohammad AsadThose whom they invoke besides Allah have created nothing, but are themselves created.

Muhammad Farooq-i-Azam MalikBut those 'idols' they invoke besides Allah cannot create anything- they themselves are created.
