ثُمَّ أَرْسَلْنَا رُسُلَنَا تَتْرَا ۖ كُلَّ مَا جَآءَ أُمَّةً رَّسُولُهَا كَذَّبُوهُ ۚ فَأَتْبَعْنَا بَعْضَهُم بَعْضًا وَجَعَلْنَـٰهُمْ أَحَادِيثَ ۚ فَبُعْدًا لِّقَوْمٍ لَّا يُؤْمِنُونَ Qur’an Al-Muminun (23:44)

Thumma arsaln a rusulan a tatr a kulla m a j a a ommatan rasooluh a ka thth aboohu faatbaAAn a baAA d ahum baAA d an wajaAAaln a hum a ha deetha fabuAAdan liqawmin l a yuminoon a

And We sent forth Our apostles, one after another: [and] every time their apostle came to a community, they gave him the lie: and so We caused them to follow one another [into the grave], and let them become [mere] tales: and so - away with the folk who, would not believe!

- and sent forth Our Rasools one after another: every time a Rasool came to his people, they disbelieved him, so We punished them one by one and made them a history; so gone is the nation of disbelievers.
