كُلُّ نَفْسٍ ذَآئِقَةُ ٱلْمَوْتِ ۖ ثُمَّ إِلَيْنَا تُرْجَعُونَ
Asad Quran Translation
Every human being is bound to taste death, [and] in the end unto Us shall all be brought back:
Malik Quran Translation
Every soul shall taste death, then to Us you shall all return.
Yusuf Ali Quran Translation
Every soul shall have a taste of death: in the end to Us shall ye be brought back. 3490
Cf. iii. 185, n. 491, and xxi. 35 and n. 2697. Death is the separation of the soul from the body when the latter perishes. We should not be afraid of death, for it only brings us back to Allah. The various kinds of hijrat or exile, physical and spiritual, mentioned in the last note, are also modes of death in a sense: what is there to fear in them?
Mustafa Khattab Quran Translation
Every soul will taste death, then to Us you will ˹all˺ be returned.
Piktal Quran Translation
Every soul will taste of death. Then unto Us ye will be returned.
