وَإِذَا تُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْهِمْ ءَايَـٰتُنَا بَيِّنَـٰتٍ مَّا كَانَ حُجَّتَهُمْ إِلَّآ أَن قَالُوا۟ ٱئْتُوا۟ بِـَٔابَآئِنَآ إِن كُنتُمْ صَـٰدِقِينَ Qur’an Al-Jathiya (45:25)

Wai tha tutl a AAalayhim a y a tun a bayyin a tin m a k a na h ujjatahum ill a an q a loo itoo bi a b a in a in kuntum sa diqeen a

And [so,] whenever Our messages are conveyed to them in all their clarity, their only argument is this:²⁷ "Bring forth our forefathers [as witnesses], if what you claim is true!"²⁸

When Our clear revelations are recited to them, they have no other argument but to say: "Bring our forefathers back if what you say is true!"
