Supplication – Forgiveness & Repentance
رَبِّ اغْفِرْ وَارْحَمْ وَأَنْتَ خَيْرُ الرَّاحِمِينَ
Rabbi ighfir warham wa anta khayrur-raahimeen
My Lord, forgive and have mercy, and You are the best of the merciful.

رَبَّنَا ظَلَمْنَا أَنْفُسَنَا وَإِنْ لَمْ تَغْفِرْ لَنَا وَتَرْحَمْنَا لَنَكُونَنَّ مِنَ الْخَاسِرِينَ
Rabbana zalamna anfusana wa illam taghfir lana watarhamna lanakoonanna minal-khasireen
Our Lord, we have wronged ourselves, and if You do not forgive us and have mercy upon us, we will surely be among the losers.

Rabbi ighfir li wa liman dakhala baytiya mu’minan
My Lord, forgive me and whoever enters my house a believer.

اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّكَ عَفُوٌّ تُحِبُّ الْعَفْوَ فَاعْفُ عَنِّي
Allahumma innaka ‘afuwwun tuhibbul-‘afwa fa‘fu ‘anni
O Allah, You are Pardoning, and You love to pardon, so pardon me.

اللَّهُمَّ تُبْ عَلَيَّ إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ التَّوَّابُ الرَّحِيمُ
Allahumma tub ‘alayya innaka anta at-tawwabur-raheem
O Allah, accept my repentance; indeed, You are the Accepting of repentance, the Merciful.

رَبَّنَا لَا تُؤَاخِذْنَا إِن نَّسِينَا أَوْ أَخْطَأْنَارَبَّنَا وَلَا تَحْمِلْ عَلَيْنَا إِصْرًا كَمَا حَمَلْتَهُ عَلَى الَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِنَارَبَّنَا وَلَا تُحَمِّلْنَا مَا لَا طَاقَةَ لَنَا بِهِوَاعْفُ عَنَّا وَاغْفِرْ لَنَا وَارْحَمْنَاأَنتَ مَوْلَانَا فَانصُرْنَا عَلَى الْقَوْمِ الْكَافِرِينَ
Rabbana la tu’ākhidhnā in nasīnā aw akhta’nā.Rabbana wa la tahmil ‘alaynā isran kamā hamaltahu ‘alal-ladhīna min qablina.Rabbana wa la tuhammilnā mā lā tāqata lanā bih.Wa’fu ‘annā waghfir lanā warhamnā.Anta mawlānā fansurnā ‘alal-qawmil-kāfireen.
Our Lord! Do not impose blame upon us if we forget or make a mistake.Our Lord! Do not place upon us a burden like that which You placed upon those before us.Our Lord! Do not burden us with that which we have no ability to bear.Pardon us, forgive us, and have mercy on us. You are our Protector, so give us victory over the disbelieving people.

رَبَّنَا إِنَّنَا آمَنَّا فَاغْفِرْ لَنَا ذُنُوبَنَا وَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ
Rabbana innanā āmannā faghfir lanā dhunoobanā wa qinā ‘adhāban-nār.
Our Lord! Indeed we have believed, so forgive us our sins and protect us from the punishment of the Fire.

Rabbana aghfir lanā dhunoobanā wa isrāfanā fī amrinā wa thabbit aqdāmanā wansurnā ‘alal-qawmil-kāfireen.
Our Lord! Forgive us our sins and our excesses in our affairs, make our steps firm, and grant us victory over the disbelieving people.

رَبَّنَا مَا خَلَقْتَ هَٰذَا بَاطِلًا سُبْحَانَكَ فَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ رَبَّنَا إِنَّكَ مَن تُدْخِلِ النَّارَ فَقَدْ أَخْزَيْتَهُ ۖ وَمَا لِلظَّالِمِينَ مِنْ أَنصَارٍ رَبَّنَا إِنَّنَا سَمِعْنَا مُنَادِيًا يُنَادِي لِلْإِيمَانِ أَنْ آمِنُوا بِرَبِّكُمْ فَآمَنَّا رَبَّنَا فَاغْفِرْ لَنَا ذُنُوبَنَا وَكَفِّرْ عَنَّا سَيِّئَاتِنَا وَتَوَفَّنَا مَعَ الْأَبْرَارِ
Rabbana mā khalaqta hādhā bātilan subhānaka faqina ‘adhāban-nār.Rabbana innaka man tudkhilin-nāra faqad akhzaytahu wa mā lil-dhālimīna min ansār.Rabbana innanā sami‘nā munādiyan yunādī lil-īmān an āminoo birabbikum fa āmannā.Rabbana faghfir lanā dhunoobanā wa kaffir ‘annā sayyiātinā wa tawaffanā ma‘al-abrār.
Our Lord! You have not created this in vain; glory be to You, so protect us from the punishment of the Fire.Our Lord! Indeed whoever You admit to the Fire – You have disgraced him, and the wrongdoers will have no helpers.Our Lord! Indeed we have heard a caller inviting us to faith, saying: ‘Believe in your Lord,’ so we have believed.Our Lord! Forgive us our sins, remove from us our misdeeds, and cause us to die with the righteous.

اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْنِي مِمَّنْ يَتُوبُ فَتَغْفِرَ لَهُ وَتُبَدِّلَ سَيِّئَاتِهِ حَسَنَاتٍ
Allahumma aj‘alni mimman yatūbu fataghfira lahu wa tubaddilu sayyiātihi ḥasanāt
O Allah, make me among those who repent, so You forgive them and replace their bad deeds with good ones.

Rabbana faghfir lana dhunubana wa kaffir ‘anna sayyi’ātina wa tawaffana ma‘a al-abrār
Our Lord, so forgive us our sins and remove from us our misdeeds, and cause us to die with the righteous.
