It was narrated that Anas [may Allah be pleased with them] said: “The Messenger of Allah was praying in Ramadan, and I came and stood beside him, and another man came and stood too, until there was a group of us. When the Prophet realized that I was behind him, he made his prayer brief. Then he went to his abode and offered a prayer such as he did not pray with us. The next morning we said to him: ‘Did you notice us last night?’ He said: ‘Yes. That is what made me do what I did.’ The Messenger of Allah started to perform Wisal at the end of the month, and some of his companions began performing Wisal. The Prophet (SAW) said: ‘What is the matter with the men who perform Wisal? You are not like me. By Allah, if the month were to be lengthened for me, I would fast continuously, and those who go to extremes would give up their extreme ways.’”
"When a person dies, his works end, except for three: ongoing charity, knowledge that is benefited from, and a righteous child who prays for him."
Prophet Mohammed (PBUH)
"The best of what a man leaves behind are three: a righteous child who supplicates for him, ongoing charity the reward of which reaches him, and knowledge that is acted upon after him."
Sunan Ibn Mājah
"Every day two angels come down from Heaven and one of them says, 'O Allah! Compensate every person who spends in Your Cause,' and the other (angel) says, 'O Allah! Destroy every miser.'"
Sahih Bukhari
