It was narrated that Anas [may Allah be pleased with them] said: “The Messenger of Allah (SAW) performed Wisal during the beginning of Ramadan, and some of the Muslims performed Wisal. News of that reached him and he said: ‘If the month is lengthened for us, we will fast continuously, so that those who go to extremes will give up their extreme ways. You are not like me’ - or I am not like you’ - ‘I am continually fed and given to drink by my Lord.’”

Sunan Ibn Mājah
"Every day two angels come down from Heaven and one of them says, 'O Allah! Compensate every person who spends in Your Cause,' and the other (angel) says, 'O Allah! Destroy every miser.'"
