Heavens

Creation of

67 : 3

The One Who created the seven heavens, one above another, youwill not see any flaw in the creation of the Compassionate. Lookonce again, do you see any flaw?

67 : 4

Then look still another time, yet again your sight will come backbewildered, and feel exhausted.

Creation of compared with that of man

79 : 27

O mankind, is your creation harder than the heaven that He built?

Sustenance from

34 : 24

O Prophet, ask them: "Who provides your sustenance from theheavens and the earth?" If they do not answer, then say: "It isAllah! Certainly one of us; either we or you are rightly guidedor in manifest error."

35 : 3

O mankind! Call to mind the favors of Allah on you; is there anyother creator than Allah who provides for you from the heavensand the earth? There is no god but Him. How then are you beingdeceived?

51 : 22

In heaven is your sustenance and all that you are promised.

51 : 23

I swear by the Rabb of heaven and earth that this is true, ascertain as you are speaking now!

Heavens and The Earth

Command of Allah over as a Sign of Allah

30 : 25

And of His signs are the firmly standing heaven and earth by Hiscommand; then as soon as He will summon you out of the earth, youshall come forth at one call.

30 : 26

To Him belongs everything that is in the heavens and the earth;all are obedient to Him.

Considering

7 : 185

Have they not pondered the kingdom of the heavens and the earthand whatever Allah has created, and that maybe their hour ofdeath has come closer? In what message after this would they thenbelieve?

Creation of

15 : 85

We have not created the Heavens and the Earth, and all that lies between them but to manifest the Truth. The Hour of Doom is sure to come, so overlook their misbehavior in a gracious manner.

16 : 3

He has created the heavens and the earth to manifest the Truth;Exalted be He above the shirk that they practice.

21 : 16

Our creation of the heavens and the earth and all that liesbetween them is not a game.

21 : 17

Had We meant to make it a play ground, We would have done it byOurself, without giving you discretion to do right and wrong, hadWe ever done so.

38 : 27

We have not created the heaven and the earth and all that liesbetween them in vain. That is the fancy of the unbelievers. Suchdisbelievers should be aware of the hellfire.

39 : 38

If you ask them: "who created the heavens and the earth?" Theywill surely say: "Allah." Ask them: "Do you think then, that ifAllah intends to harm me, can they (your goddesses) - to whom youinvoke besides Allah - save me from His harm or if He wants tobestow on me His blessings, can they withhold His blessings?"Tell them: "Allah is all-sufficient for me. On Him do the reliantrely."

Creation of for an appointed term

46 : 3

We created the heavens and the earth and all that lies betweenthem to manifest the truth and to last for an appointed term. Yetthe disbelievers give no heed to Our warning.

Creation of compared with that of man

40 : 57

Certainly the creation of the heavens and the earth is a greatertask than the creation of men; yet most people do not understand.

Creation of as a Sign of Allah

2 : 164

Surely, In the creation of the heavens and the earth; in thealternation of the night and the day, in the sailing of the shipsthrough the ocean for the profit of mankind; in the rain whichAllah sends down from the skies, with which He revives the earthafter its death and spreads in it all kinds of animals, in thechange of the winds and the clouds between the sky and the earththat are made subservient, there are signs for rational people.

3 : 190

For sure, in the creation of the heavens and the earth and thealternation of the night and the day there are signs for men ofunderstanding.

29 : 44

Allah has created the heavens and the earth to manifest theTruth. Surely in this there is a sign for the believers.

30 : 22

And yet others of His signs are the creation of the heavens andthe earth, and the difference of your languages and colors;surely there are signs in this for the knowledgeable.

42 : 29

Among His signs is the creation of the heavens and the earth, andthe living creatures that He has spread in both of them: and Heis capable of gathering them all together whenever He wants.

Creatures living in as a Sign of Allah

42 : 29

Among His signs is the creation of the heavens and the earth, andthe living creatures that He has spread in both of them: and Heis capable of gathering them all together whenever He wants.

Reflecting over the creation of

3 : 19

Surely the only Deen (true religion and the Right Way of life) inthe sight of Allah is Al-Islam: Those to whom the Book was givendid not adopt ways different than this except out of envy amongthemselves, and after the true knowledge had come to them. Theyshould know that Allah is swift in calling to account those whodeny His revelations.

30 : 8

Have they not considered in their own minds that Allah createdthe heavens and the earth and all that lies between them for ajust reason and for a specified time? But the truth is that manyamong mankind do not believe in the meeting with their Rabb (theDay of Resurrection)!

Heeding

Admonition, the

74 : 54

But no! Surely this Qur'an is an admonition.

74 : 55

Let him who wills take heed.

74 : 56

But none takes heed except by the will of Allah. He Alone isworthy to be feared and He Alone is worthy to forgive those whofear Him.

80 : 11

It should not be so! Indeed, this is but an admonition;

80 : 12

let him who wants, accept it.

Hereafter, the

39 : 9

Can he who is obedient, pass the hours of night prostrating inworship or standing in adoration, fearing the hereafter and hopeto earn the Mercy of his Rabb, be compared to the man who doesnot? Are the knowledgeable and the ignorant equal? In fact, nonewill take heed except the people of understanding.

Past, the

36 : 45

When it is said to them: "Have fear of that which is before youand that which is behind you, so that you may receive mercy,"they pay no heed.

Quran, the

7 : 204

When the Qur'an is recited, listen to it with complete silence sothat you may be shown mercy.

17 : 41

We have explained things in various ways in this Qur'an so thatthey may receive admonition, yet it has only added to theiraversion.

20 : 113

Thus have we sent down this Qur'an in Arabic and clearlyproclaimed in it some of the warnings so that they may take heedor that it may serve as a reminder to them.

24 : 1

This is a Surah which We have revealed and made obligatory; itsrevelations contain clear verses, so that you may take heed.

36 : 69

We have not taught him (Muhammad) poetry, nor does it behove him. This is nothing but a reminder and a plain Qur'an

36 : 70

to warn those who are alive and to establish the charge againstthe disbelievers.

38 : 29

-- This Book (Al-Qur'an) which We have sent down to you (OMuhammad) is highly blessed, so that they may ponder upon itsverses and the men of understanding may learn a lesson from it.

44 : 58

Surely We have made this Qur'an easy by revealing in your ownlanguage so that they may take heed.

54 : 11

So We opened the gates of heaven with pouring rain

54 : 12

and caused the earth to burst with gushing springs, and thewaters met to fulfill the decreed end.

54 : 13

We carried him in an Ark built with planks and nails,

54 : 14

which drifted on under Our care: a reward for him (Noah) who wasdenied by the unbelievers.

54 : 15

We have left that Ark as a sign, so is there any who would takeadmonition?

54 : 16

How terrible was My scourge and how clear My warning!

54 : 17

We have indeed made the Qur'an very easy to understand theadmonition: but is there any who would take admonition?

54 : 22

We have indeed made the Qur'an very easy to understand theadmonition, so is there any who would take admonition?

54 : 32

We have indeed made the Qur'an very easy to understand theadmonition, so is there any who would take admonition?

54 : 40

We have indeed made the Qur'an very easy to understand theadmonition, so is there any who would take admonition?

76 : 29

This is indeed an admonition, so let him who will, adopt The Wayto his Rabb,

76 : 30

but you cannot will, except by the will of Allah. Surely Allah isAll-Knowledgeable, All-Wise.

77 : 10

the mountains will crumble into dust,

Quran, the similitudes in the

22 : 73

O mankind! Here is an example for your understanding, so listento it carefully. Those deities whom you call besides Allah, cannot create a single fly, even if they all combined theirforces, rather, if a fly snatches away anything from them theycannot even get it back; how feebleminded are the suppliants andhow powerless are those whom they supplicate!

Quran, the warning in the

20 : 113

Thus have we sent down this Qur'an in Arabic and clearlyproclaimed in it some of the warnings so that they may take heedor that it may serve as a reminder to them.

Revelations of Allah, the

25 : 73

Who, when reminded about the revelations of their Rabb, do notturn a blind eye and a deaf ear to them.

Time limit for of the Warning, the

6 : 67

For every prophecy there is an appointed time, and soon you willcome to know."

Warning, the

10 : 73

But they disbelieved him. As a result, We saved him and those ofthem who were with him in the Ark and We made them successors inthe Earth and drowned those who rejected Our revelations. You seewhat was the end of those who were warned but did not believe!

17 : 59

We refrain from sending signs (miracles) only because the men offormer generations treated them as false. For example, We sentthe she-camel to the people of Thamud - a manifest sign - butthey laid violent hands on her. We send the signs only by way ofwarning, and if people reject the sign after receiving it, theyare doomed.

17 : 60

Remember, O Muhammad! We told you that your Rabb encompassesmankind. We have made the Vision which We showed you, and thecursed tree of Zaqqum which is mentioned in the Qur'an, a testfor these people of Makkah. We are giving them warning to befearful but it only increases their inordinate transgression.

35 : 42

These very people used to swear on solemn oaths by Allah that ifa Warner ever come to them, they would be better guided than anyother nation of the world; yet when a Warner has come to themthey have increased in nothing but aversion,

35 : 43

behaving arrogantly in the land and plotting evil, whereas theplotting of evil recoils none but the authors of it. Are theyawaiting for that end which overtook the former nations? If so,you shall find no change in the ways of Allah, nor will you findany alteration in Allah's way of dealing.

35 : 44

Have they not traveled through the land and see what was the endof those who went before them, who were far superior in strengththan these people? There is nothing in the heavens or in theearth which can frustrate Allah; surely He is All-Knowing,All-Powerful.

37 : 72

though We had sent Warners towards them.

37 : 73

See what was the end of those who had been forewarned: they allperished,

39 : 71

After the Judgement, the Unbelievers will be driven to hell ingroups. When they reach there, its gates will be opened and itskeepers will say: "Did there not come to you Rasools from amongyourselves, who recited to you the revelations of your Rabb andforewarned you about the meeting of this Day?" "Yes," they willanswer. But at that time the sentence of punishment would havebeen already announced against the unbelievers."

54 : 3

They deny this and keep on following their own fancies.Ultimately every matter shall be laid to rest.

54 : 4

There has already come to them the information of former nationscontaining enough deterrents

54 : 5

and profound wisdom to serve as a warning, but warnings are of nouse to these people.

67 : 16

Do you feel secure that He Who is in heaven, will not cause theearth to cave in beneath you and start shaking suddenly?

67 : 17

Or do you feel secure that He Who is in heaven will not sendagainst you a violent tornado, then you shall know how was Mywarning!

67 : 18

Those who have gone before them likewise disbelieved, then seehow terrible was the way I rejected them?

Warning in time, the

47 : 18

Are they waiting for the Hour of Doom to overtake them all of asudden? Do they not know that its signs have already come andwhen it will actually overtake them, what chance will they haveto benefit then by this admonition?

Heeding Allah

Heeding Allah

2 : 235

There is no blame on you if you make a proposal of marriageduring their waiting period openly or keep it in your hearts.Allah knows that you will naturally cherish them in your hearts;however, be careful not to make any secret agreement, and if youwish to marry, speak to them in an honorable manner. Do notconfirm the marriage tie until the prescribed waiting periodexpires. You should know that Allah is aware of what is in yourhearts, so fear Him. Bear in mind that Allah is Forgiving,Forbearing.

Heedless, The

Obeying the

18 : 28

Keep yourself content with those who call on their Rabb morning and evening seeking His good pleasure; and let not your eyes turn away from them desiring the attraction of Worldly Life; nor obey the one whose heart We have permitted to neglect Our remembrance, who follows his own desires and goes to extremes in the conduct of his affairs.

Heedlessness

And, of the warning by

54 : 18

Likewise the people of 'Ad did not believe then how terrible wasMy scourge and how clear My Warning!

54 : 19

We let loose on them a tornado, on the day of their bittermisfortune,

54 : 20

which snatched them off like trunks of uprooted palm-trees.

54 : 21

How terrible was My scourge and how clear My warning!

Day of Judgement, of the

21 : 97

and the time of fulfillment for the True Promise will draw near, then behold! The eyes of the unbelievers will fixedly stare inhorror: "O woe to us! We were indeed heedless of this warning;nay we were wrongdoers."

76 : 27

These unbelievers love the transitory life of this world andneglect the heavy Day that is coming ahead.

Hereafter, the

30 : 7

They only know the outward show of this world's life, but theyare heedless about the life to come.

50 : 19

When the agony of death will bring the truth before his eyes, they will say: "This is what you were trying to escape!"

50 : 20

And the Trumpet shall be blown; that will be the Day of which youwere threatened!

50 : 21

Each soul will come forth; with it there will be a an angel todrive and an angel to bear witness.

50 : 22

It will be said: "You were heedless of this, but now We haveremoved your veil, so your eyesight is sharp today!"

50 : 23

His companion will say: "Here is my testimony ready with me."

50 : 24

The sentence will be: "Throw into hell every stubborndisbeliever,

50 : 25

every opponent of good, and every doubting transgressor

50 : 26

who set up other gods besides Allah. Throw him into severepunishment."

50 : 27

His companion will say: "Our Rabb! I did not mislead him. Hehimself had gone far astray."

50 : 28

Allah will say: "Do not dispute with each other in My presence. Igave you warning beforehand.

50 : 29

My words cannot be changed, nor am I unjust to My servants."

People of Lot, of the warning by the

54 : 33

Another example is the people of Lut (Lot) who disbelieved Ourwarning.

54 : 34

We let loose on them a stone-charged tornado which spared noneexcept Lut's household, whom We saved by early dawn

54 : 36

Lut did warn them of Our scourge but they doubted his warnings.

54 : 37

They even sought to snatch away his guests from him but Weblinded their eyes, and said: "Now taste My punishment and theresult of disbelieving My warning."

54 : 38

At daybreak they were overtaken by a lasting punishment

54 : 39

as if to say: "Now taste My punishment and the result ofdisbelieving My warning."

People of Noah, of the warning by the

People of Pharaoh, of the warning by the

54 : 41

My warnings also came to the people of Fir'on (Pharaoh).

54 : 42

They disbelieved all Our signs. Consequently, We seized them theway a mighty powerful competent would seize.

Quran, of the

41 : 26

The disbelievers say: "Do not listen this Qur'an and make noisewhen it is recited so that you may gain the upper hand."

Salaat, of

107 : 1

Have you seen the one who denies the Day of Judgment?

107 : 2

He it is who drives away the orphan with harshness

107 : 3

33 : 9

O believers! Remember the favor of Allah, which he bestowed onyou, when you were attacked by your enemy's army (during thebattle of Trench/Confederates) and We unleashed against themviolent winds and invisible forces. Allah saw all that you weredoing.

33 : 10

When the enemy attacked you from above and from below; when youreyes were petrified due to fear and your hearts leaped up to yourthroats, and you began to entertain all sorts of doubts aboutAllah,

33 : 11

there, the believers were put to test; and were shaken withtremendous shaking.

33 : 12

Remember, when the hypocrites and those in whose hearts there wasa disease were openly saying: "Allah and His Rasool promised usnothing but delusion!"

33 : 13

And a party of them said: "O people of Yathrib (Madinah)! Youcannot stand the attack much longer. Go back to your city". Andyet another party of them sought leave of the Prophet saying: "Infact our houses are insecure," whereas they were not insecure. They intended nothing but to run away from the battlefront.

33 : 14

Had the city been entered from all sides, and had they beenincited to sedition, they would have little hesitation to becomepartners in it.

33 : 22

When the true believers saw the confederate forces they said:"This is what Allah and His Rasool had promised us: Allah and hisRasool were absolutely true." This increased them all the more intheir faith and their zeal in obedience.

33 : 25

Allah turned back the unbelievers; they retreated in their ragewithout gaining any advantage, and Allah was sufficient to fighton behalf of the believers; for Allah is All-Powerful,All-Mighty.

33 : 26

And brought down, from their fortresses, those people of the Book(The Jews of Bani Qurayzah) who supported the invaders, and castterror into their hearts. As a result, some of them you slew andsome you took as prisoners.

The exception to this is for those who take refuge with yourallies or come over to you because their hearts restrain themboth from fighting against you and from fighting against theirown people. If Allah had wanted, He would have given them powerover you and they might easily have fought against you;therefore, if they withdraw from you and cease their hostilityand offer you peace, in that case Allah has not granted youpermission to fight against them.
