Al-Mawlid-un Nabi (The Birth of the Prophet) Mohammed (PBUH)

October 29, 2020 Praise be to Allah, the Exalted, the Creator & the Sustainer of the worlds, the Supreme. He (SWT) created humans as His best creation and guided the first couple, Adam & Eve, directly to obey Him and follow His Commands. Later He sent His Messengers and Prophets to continually refresh His guidance to human beings. Finally, He sent Mohammad (PBUH), as His last messenger who accomplished his mission over a period of twenty-three years (610-632 AD). All Muslims are required to learn and follow the teachings of our prophet who exemplified and lived the Quran. Mohammad (PBUH) was born (and passed away) on the 12th day of Rabi al-Awwal, 570 AD of the Islamic calendar. This day will fall on October 29, 2020. Although not firm, this date is generally accepted among the scholars and celebrated by Muslims across the world. It is important to note that public celebration, commemoration, or festivals of Mohammad�s birthday was not known until the early 12th century AD. It is said to be started in Iraq and was strengthened and expanded in the 13th century AD during the Fatimid Dynasty of Egypt. Today, we see extraordinarily large gatherings, celebrations, and processions that Mohammad (PBUH) would never approve of. Muslims universally love the Prophet Mohammad (PBUH). It is observed time and again that they love him above themselves, their parents, their families to the best of their understanding. This love must translate into true following of the Prophet (PBUH). This could only be achieved through studying the Quran, authentic Hadith, Seerah, self-evaluation, and good companionship that guides to the right path. True success for a Muslim entail pleasing Allah with his or her life. This is the only way to achieve success in the hereafter and requires knowledge and practice of the teachings of Mohammad (PBUH). WHAT AWAITS US IN JANNAH

Are you amazed by the word “JANNAH’? Ok, let’s start with the word ‘Jannah’. What is Jannah?. Yes, we all know it’s heaven, but the word Jannah means “Garden”. We are all afraid of hell and we have been hearing about the torments in hell. Now if we just reverse our thoughts from hell to heaven what is there in heaven. In very simple words Allah SWT says “Whatever your soul wishes will be there in heaven”. Everything that you need will be rewarded to you in abundance and to your wish. There will be rivers of milk (the milk that doesn’t get spoiled), honey, fresh juices, water etc. that which will never stop, it will only get better. Allah SWT says Jannah has in it something far greater and bigger than each person’s singular paradise. SubhanAllah isn’t it amazing?. In Jannah it’s something that our eyes have never seen, all that we see in the earth doesn’t qualify in Jannah. Even the same husbands and wives will be far better in Jannah in a manner we wished them to be. Even our body which we think is perfect is not qualified to go to Jannah. Allah SWT makes everything perfect in order to be qualified to enter Jannah. Mufti Menk in this video says when you see heaven you will say I have never ever seen something like this and I have never ever heard of something like this and I have never ever dreamt of something like this and I never thought this is what it would be like. So why don’t we take up this opportunity. This is what Allah SWT has in store for the ones who live according to his will. Don’t you want to be one among them. May Allah SWT accept all our deeds and grand us Jannah. Mufti Menk in this video has excellently briefed about Jannah. Do listen to his words and honestly try to be one amongst them to enter Jannah.

Safar's meaning and background

Safar is the second month of the Islamic calendar. The definition is empty and the reasoning is all the Muslims would rush towards the battlefield (at the time of the Prophet (SAW), leaving their houses deserted after Muharram. Moreover, superstitions were widespread during the days of ignorance (pre-Islam). These superstitions were made irrelevant by the following Quran verse: "No misfortune befalls except by Allah’s command..." Surah Tagabun, Verse 11. Folks in those days believed bad omens and evils occurred in Safar, but all those beliefs were incorrect. As stated in Sahih Muslim, Hadith 2222: There is no bad omen in the month of Safar and no ghouls (evil spirits). Superstition is for folks who lack faith and trust in Allah (SWA). Assalamwalakum.
